To Build Acts 2 Church To Bring the Gospel of Jesus To Balance ministry for all
Welcome to The Asian American Ministry !The Asian American Ministry (AAM) is a part of Grow Congregation of The Baltimore-Washington Conference. It helps the local churches to grow their mission and ministry by reaching out the Asian American members and friends within and beyond the church. AAM hopes you and your church bring the gospel of Jesus Christ to the children of God of all ages, genders, nations and races in the community, in which you are. We love to provide you with a veriety of resources for the advancement of God's Kingdom. Hopefully the local churches descover a way to recognize and to bring up the leadership of the Asian American Members in their churches. The churches might provide other Asian American people of God with their own house of prayer. Please find out your own visions and values in bringing the gospel of Jesus Christ for all from this site.
OverviewSince the 225th Annual Conference in 2009, the Asian American Ministry has launched its activities. AAM envisions to build 600 Acts 2 churches to bring the gospel of Jesus Christ "to the end of the earth" (Acts 1:8) and to balance the mission and ministries of the local church for all God's people. It helps the English-speaking congregations call, empower, equip, and send the Asian American members within the church. It also resources the local churches to seek out the Asian Americans in the community in which they serve.
The Baltimore-Washington Conference reflects the ethnic diversity, along with spiritual richness from many ethnic groups, the Asian Americans in particular have been fast growing groups. According to 2008 Conference Stitistical Report, more than 35 local churches of the conference have already more than 10 registered members and other family and friends. AAM considers these 35 local churches as potential leading churches which open doors for the 15 million in the United States, especially 240,000 Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders in the Greater Washington and Baltimore Area, a ministerial boundary of The Baltimore-Washington Conference of The United Methodist Church, who are seeking a church home.
AAM hopes any one who loves to offer Christ for all God's people takes advantages of some tools and resources available here. AAM believes that strengthening the Asian American disciples of Jesus Christ within the church as well as offering Christ for other Asian American souls in our community will balance and enrich the mission and ministry of the local churches. Eventualy AAM aims at calling, equiping and sending the Asian Americans as the spiritual leaders for the transformation of the world.
